We work in three publishing models: as a hybrid publisher in partnership with authors where authors pay most of the costs of publishing and receive a royalty of 25% to 75%; in a traditional book-publishing model in which DriverWorks Ink pays all costs and authors receive a royalty of up to 10% of the regular retail price of the book; and as a self-publisher of books written by Deana J. Driver. In all models, we utilize our expertise in writing, editing, layout, design, marketing, and sales plus our infrastructure and connections to produce and market the books.
We offer additional sales opportunities for our authors through author-editor-publisher Deana Driver's speaking engagements and participation in numerous craft and trade shows across the Prairie Provinces, leading to higher royalties for authors.
We are delighted that many DriverWorks Ink titles have received awards and honours in the: Canadian Children's Book Centre's Best Books for Kids and Teens, Hollywood Book Festival (CA), Purple Dragonfly Book Awards (AZ), Great Northwest Book Festival (WA), Great Midwest Book Festival (IL), Saskatchewan Book Awards (SK), London (England) Book Festival, Will Rogers Medallion Awards (TX), Reader's Favorite Book Reviews and Award Contest, Nashville Book Festival (TN), and Animals Animals Animals Book Festival (IL).
