Letters to Jennifer:
From Maudie & Oliver
by Sharon Gray
"This is Maudie speaking. I am a beautiful Siamese cat. I live with Oliver, my rather ordinary brother, and LIP (our Live-In Person - Sharon Gray). Oliver and I lead a very exciting life of grooming, naps on top of the TV, nods on the window seat in the dining room, deep sleeps in our basket, watching out the window for Robert Rabbit and my many suitors, and more naps on LIP's lap. After our dear Auntie Jennifer became sick with breast cancer, she sent us a wonderful Christmas gift of salmon cat candy and toy mice things. We wrote her a very nice thank-you letter, which she liked so much that we have since written many more a-mews-ing letters to Auntie Jennifer and others, to bring them some laughter on days when they might not be feeling quite so well.
We have been told our letters are funny and that we are also delightful. Of course, I could have told you that if only you had asked. So ... if you like to giggle and you like cats (and really, who doesn't?) we encourage you to pick up a copy of our clever book of letters. LIP says the publisher is donating some money from each book to cancer programs, too. Hmmm ... Auntie Jennifer would be pleased."
Updated Edition, featuring 21 new letters.
